Which NFL Team Will Make it to the Super Bowl 2020?

Looking for NFL team odds for Super Bowl 2020? The NFL is wide open in terms of which team will make it to the Super Bowl in 2020. Most people would suggest that the Rams are the sexy pick to make the SuperBowl. However, there is a phenomon known as the Super Bowl curse which says that teams who lose in the Super Bowl tend to come back the next year and have a down season. This doesn’t seem to apply to Tom Brady but it does seem to apply to other teams throughout the league.

There isn’t a “Curse” so to say, but many NFL teams just lose talent while other teams acquire talent therefore giving the losing division more competition leading into the next season. The unpredictability of the NFL is what makes it so much fun watch.

Super Bowl 2020 NFL Team Odds

NFL Team Super Bowl 2020

NFL team the stand the best chance to make Super Bowl from the NFC include the Saints, Rams and the Bears. Each of these teams feature high powered offenses that will leave other teams in the dust. You can wager on each of these teams in the 10/1 range, demonstrating that it is a true tossup in terms of which teams could win Super Bowl 2020.

If you remember last season, the Bears missed a kick at the end of the game that sealed their playoff fate. Can the Bears recover from such a stroke of bad luck and emerge victorious in Super Bowl 2020? One NFL team in particular, the Saints, are always able to light up the scoreboards. It’s pretty clear that Brees will decide to end his career on his own terms. You could flip a coin or shake some dice in order to determine which NFC team will make it to the Super Bowl but according to the online sportsbooks, these three teams have the best shot to make it after the 2019 NFL regular season concludes.

Details of Antonio Brown Foot Injury Revealed

The details of the Antonio Brown foot injury have come out. What does this mean for Oakland Raiders betting?

Last week, the biggest news coming out of NFL training camps was the fact that Oakland’s newly acquired All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown. Brown, who forced his way out of Pittsburgh at the end of the season, hasn’t been participating in practice. Will this impact team chemistry?

At first, Brown’s injury was referred to as a sore foot. Also, reporters were told he would return to practice soon. When they still didn’t see Brown on the field, they were told by team representatives that they were being cautious with Brown. Many took the news at face value.

On Wednesday, it was revealed that the reason Brown hadn’t been practicing was because of extreme frostbite. This was caused by a cryotherapy machine. Brown was not wearing appropriate footwear when he entered the cryotherapy chamber last month in France. Thus, he burned his feet, leaving them frostbitten. Grossly pictures below.

Brown, 31, has missed a significant portion of his first training camp with the Raiders and has not practiced since July 30, when he left the team to visit a foot specialist.

Update for Brown Foot Injury

Antonio Brown Foot Injury

According to head coach Jon Gruden, Brown was “still collecting information” on the Antonio Brown foot injury, and that the team would know more in the next few days.

“You know me, it is like waiting for Santa Claus,” Gruden said of anticipating Brown’s return. “I have been really excited to coach this man. I think he is a great player and he is a great competitor. We need his life in this offense and on this football team. We will just cross our fingers. I will make no speculation whatsoever. He has to get it evaluated. He has to get the information he needs, and when he does, he will be back.”

The good news for raiders fans is that even though Brown has been unable to practice with his new teammates, he is expected back on the field soon because the team does not think the Antonio Brown foot injury is a long-term one.

Philip Rivers Not Worried About Chargers Contract

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers is entering the final year of the four-year extension he signed in 2015. Even though the Chargers have not offered him a new deal, Rivers said he is content to play out the final year of his deal.

“I feel fine playing this thing out,” Rivers said on SiriusXM NFL Radio, per Pro Football Talk. “The expectation and hope is to be here again next year, but it doesn’t need to be done right now. If it were to sometime soon, great. If not, let’s play it out and worry about it in the winter.”

Rivers is coming off one of his best seasons as a pro. He completed 68.3 percent of his passes for 4,308 yards, 32 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, leading the Chargers to the playoffs for the first time since 2013.

The 37-year-old quarterback’s play and leadership has made the decision to keep him around for the foreseeable a future an easy one for Chargers’ management.

Chargers & Philip Rivers Put Contract on Hold

Philip Rivers Chargers

“We’re on the same page with Phil. We’ve talked about it. He’s our leader now and in the future and we’re in a good place,” Chargers general manager Tom Telesco told NFL Network this week. “We’ll still have those talks, but really right now we’re focused on, and he’s focused on playing right now.”

While Rivers plans on playing out the final year of his deal, running back Melvin Gordon is expected to hold out f training camp in hope of securing a new deal with the team instead of playing out the final year of his rookie contract.

Rivers said over the weekend that he sympathizes with Gordon and can’t wait to have him back on the field.

“You want our team to have the best chance to win,” Philip Rivers said. “Hopefully we see Melvin soon. I think Melvin adds a great deal to our team.”

Miami Dolphins Waive Injured Kendrick Norton

The Miami Dolphins have waived injured Kendrick Norton. However, they also plan to pay his salary.

On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins announced that they have waived defensive tackle Kendrick Norton. Norton had his left arm amputated following a car crash near Miami earlier this month. This with a non-football injury designation.

By placing the 22-year-old Norton on the reserve/non-football injury list, the team is able to pay his full salary. Similar to what the Pittsburgh Steelers did for linebacker Ryan Shazier after he suffered a spine injury in 2017. The team also announced that all of Norton’s medical bills will be covered by the NFL’s and Dolphins’ insurance policies. Tough break for a rising young star.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Norton’s Ford F-250 crashed into a concrete barrier on State Road 836 in the early hours of July 4.

The report also stated that drugs or alcohol were not suspected as a factor for either of the drivers involved in the accident. The former University of Miami player underwent at least six surgeries before he was released from the hospital last week.

Miami Dolphins Kendrick Norton

“I just want to give a big thank-you. First of all, to God for me still being here. Second of all, to Jackson Medical Center. They did a great job. They took great care of me while I was in here,” Norton told reporters outside the hospital. “Next, I would like to thank the Miami Dolphins family. They’ve been crazy with how much help they’ve been willing to give and, you know, they really didn’t have to.”

Norton, who confirmed that his playing career is over after the accident, is hoping to get a prosthetic arm as he transitions to life after football. He was selected in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. Also, was signed off the Panthers’ practice squad by the Dolphins.

Before his injury, Norton was expected to compete for a spot on the team’s 53-man roster.

Duke Johnson Is Not Concerned With Fallout From Cleveland Browns

Running Back Duke Johnson is not concerned with a fallout from the Cleveland Browns. This of course comes after his recent comments.

The Cleveland Browns running back Duke Johnson surprised a lot of people this offseason. This was when he demanded a trade from the Browns. This came at the start of OTAs.

At the time he made the demand, Johnson told reporters that the Browns had indicated that they did not want to keep him around. This was after trying to trade him last season. Just a few months after he had signed a contract extension with the team.

“I only want to be somewhere I’m wanted,” Duke Johnson said June 4 before the first practice of the team’s three-day mandatory minicamp. “At the end of the day, that’s all this is about, being somewhere you’re wanted. In my case, the moment I’m not wanted anymore. I think it’s best that we find a middle ground and we do what’s best for the team. If you don’t want me here, there’s no need to keep me or force me to be here.”
The Browns’ signing of former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt, who is suspended for the first eight games of the regular season, also made Johnson feel like the odd man out.

Johnson and Mayfield Having Feud

Duke Johnson Cleveland Browns

Quarterback Baker Mayfield stirred things up when he called Johnson’s situation self-inflicted during a recent interview.

“Obviously, he’s going to handle his stuff how he wants. However, you’re either on this train or you’re not,” Mayfield said the same day. “It’s moving. You can get out of the way or you can join us. So it is what it is.”

Despite his trade demand and Mayfield’s comments, Duke Johnson does not plan on holding out and is expected to report to training camp, but don’t expect him to fret about any awkwardness caused by his demand or Mayfield’s comments.

“I don’t really concern myself with that,” he said, adding that he would address the issue at training camp if asked.

Is there already trouble brewing in the Cleveland Browns locker room?

Gerald McCoy Upset With Buccaneers

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy is making some noise. McCoy signed with the rival Carolina Panthers this offseason. He is upset that the Buccaneers gave his No. 93 to Ndamukong Suh. This was shortly after releasing him. Also, he felt disrespected by the lack of communication with the New Tampa bay coaching staff prior to the team cutting him.

“I’m one of the best players to ever play in the organization. I’m going to say it — usually I wouldn’t, but I’m going to say it. It kind of shows the respect and how they feel about me,” he said.

Gerald McCoy, who is third in franchise history with 54.5 sacks, signed a one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers earlier this month. Suh signed a one-year deal with the team shortly after Tampa Bay released McCoy.

“It may seem like it’s just a number, but it’s bigger than that. It’s respect. That was a big part of the separation between me and Tampa, period, was the respect they showed to me all offseason. It just wasn’t there,” he said.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl Odds

Gerald McCoy Buccaneers

McCoy added that he is particularly bothered by the silent treatment he got from head coach Bruce Arians and his staff before he was released, saying he didn’t get any phone calls from any of the coaches.

“I spoke to more people in Baltimore’s, Cleveland’s and Carolina’s staff than I spoke to the Bucs all offseason, and that’s a fact,” he said.

Gerald McCoy Looking Ahead

“I earned that respect,” McCoy added. “Tampa hasn’t been a winning team, and we all know it’s hard to be considered a Pro Bowl, All-Pro person on a losing team, and I did it six years straight. That’s hard to do. For the respect I received after doing that, they showed none, and I don’t know why.”

One thing is for sure, Gerald McCoy is looking forward to facing the Buccaneers twice this season.

Asked if he had the dates circled in red, he said, “No, it’s in blue now. It’s going to be fun. I’m looking forward to it,” he said.

Alshon Jeffery Blames Himself For Eagles Loss

Alshon Jeffery is upset. The Philadelphia Eagles will not get a chance to defend their Super Bowl title after falling to the New Orleans Saints in the Divisional round of the playoffs. The loss not only meant the end of their playoff run, it may also be the last time backup quarterback Nick Foles put on an Eagles jersey.

With that said, after the game, wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, who tipped a pass that was intercepted in the final seconds of the game, blamed himself for costing his teammates a chance to win the game.

“That’s on me. I’ll take that loss. It’s on me,” he said. “I let my teammates down, the city of Philadelphia, that’s on me. I’ll take that.”
Even though the play led to the Saints sealing the win, Jeffery’s teammates feel he is being too hard on himself and credited his play for helping the team win the Super Bowl last season.

Super Bowl 53 News

Alshon Jeffery Tip Philadelphia Eagles Superbowl

“He’s one of the best players on this football team. That game wasn’t decided by that play, number one,” Ertz said. “Two, we wouldn’t change the playcall. And three, we’re not in this situation without him. That’s the bottom line. He is one of the best receivers in the league. There are not many guys who are able to make plays continually like he does. Does he catch that ball 99 times out of 100? Yeah. [Does he catch it] 999,999 out of a million? Yeah. It’s tough to end like that … but he should know that play didn’t decide this game.”

Furthermore, right tackle Lane Johnson also backed up Jeffery.

“There’s nobody that works harder. The guy has broken ribs and toughed it out for his teammates. He doesn’t have to say nothing. We had plenty of opportunities to win this game. It’s not one guy’s fault.”

Even though he is upset about dropping the pass that could have led to the game-winning touchdown, Jeffrey remains optimistic about next season.

In conclusion it wasn’t his fault. “It happens to the best of us,” Jeffery said of the drop. “We move on. It hurts right now, but I guarantee you we’ll be back next year, for sure.”

NFL Playoffs Update

Super Bowl 2019 is just around the corner. In this NFL playoffs update read Super Bowl 53 predictions. The Baltimore Ravens needed a win over the Cleveland Browns in the final week of the regular season to win the AFC North and host a Wildcard game. Unfortunately, the man that led the team to the playoffs struggled in his debut. The Ravens were eliminated by the Los Angeles Chargers after losing the game 23-17. This was a shock.

During the first half of the game, rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson completed only two of his passes. Jackson was 3-10 for 25 yards and one interception through the first three quarters. Also, with the offense struggling fans started to boo Jackson. Calling for former starter Joe Flacco, who was replaced as the starter after a 4-5 start to the season.

After the game, head coach John Harbaugh, who didn’t bench his rookie quarterback, said he did not regret the decision even though the team lost.

“In the end — talk about the fourth quarter — Lamar played really well in two-minute,” Harbaugh said. “I don’t think Joe would have played any better in two-minute. You have to say, based on that part of it [and] at that point in time in the game, it was the right decision.”

After the game, Flacco was asked if he thought he could have made a difference.

Colts at Texans NFL Playoffs

NFL Playoff Picture 2019

Like the Colts, the Texans overcame a slow start to the season and managed to win the division thanks to a nine-game winning streak in the middle of the season. Since the streak ended, they split their last four games, which might be cause for concern for some of their fans.

Deshaun Watson continued to impress, becoming the first player in NFL history to throw for over 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns and also rush for over 500 yards and five rushing touchdowns. DeAndre Hopkins also had a big season, becoming the fourth player in NFL history to have 100 catches, 1,500 yards and 11 touchdowns in multiple seasons.

Defensively, the Texans looked great against the Jacksonville Jaguars, holding their rivals to three points. They will need big performances from J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney to beat the Colts on Saturday.

The Texans are favored to win the game by 2.5 points. The over/under on the total points scored is 47.5.

The Colts have looked very good in their last 10 games and have enough firepower to hand with the Texans. Take Indianapolis +2.5.

Redskins Release Outspoken D.J. Swearinger

D.J. Swearinger is known for speaking his mind. However, his mouth cost him his job as the Washington Redskins confirmed his release on Monday afternoon. What does this mean for the Redskins? Not much. They are still not a playoff team.

The move by the Redskins comes two days after Swearinger made critical remarks. Comments about defensive coordinator Greg Manusky’s play calling. after their loss to the Tennessee Titans over the weekend, which eliminated them from the playoffs.

Also, according to D.J. Swearinger, he was called into head coach Jay Gruden’s office where he was told he was being released.

“He just said it was the third time I’ve been in his office and we’re going to release you,” Swearinger told co-host Grant Paulsen. “And that was that.

“I don’t have words for this. Had a Pro Bowl year. I was a captain in year one, and this year I thought I improved on everything and I did a slap in the face and get released. Gave it my all and put my heart into it every single week to the best I could. I guess it says a lot about the organization.”

Therefore, before his release, Gruden told reporters he was disappointed in Swearinger.

Washington Redskins News

D.J. Swearinger Washington Redskins

“We made it pretty clear that we try to keep our business within these walls,” Gruden said, “and we’ve had many a talk before about that and unfortunately he chose to go to the media again and talk about his displeasure with some of the calls. I know Coach Manusky works extremely hard, as does the rest of the staff, to put together a game plan, and unfortunately we didn’t get it done.”

Furthermore, D.J. Swearinger, who was named a captain last season, said that Gruden and the coaching staff did not want him to be a captain this season because he criticized the team during the offseason.

In conclusion he had this to say. “It’s not rocket science. Why I wasn’t captain,” Swearinger told the show. “I’m a vocal guy, passionate guy that wants to win. If the coaches feel I’m too smart or a weapon as far as my smarts are concerned. They got to release the guy that has knowledge or has respect in the locker room I guess.”

Nick Foles Hopes To Start Against Redskins

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles took a big hit from Houston Texans pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney late in their game on Sunday, leaving him writhing in pain. However, Foles was able to shake it off and was back under center after going to the sidelines for one play.

With Carson Wentz dealing with an injury as well, Eagles fans were worried they will have to rely on third stringer Nate Sudfeld to help them clinch a playoff berth when they face the Washington Redskins this week.

Even Sudfeld thought he might have to become the team’s starter after watching Foles after the hit.

“I thought he was out. He was laying there forever,” Sudfeld said. “I didn’t know if he was out for forever or freaking one day. You have no idea.”

Fortunately for the Eagles, not only was Foles able to return to the game, he led the drive that led to the team’s game-winning field goal against the Texans.

Philadelphia Eagles News

Nick Foles Starting Quarterback Philadelphia Eagles

“We get confused sometimes because he’s a backup quarterback; he just happens to be Carson Wentz’s backup,” said safety Malcolm Jenkins. “He’s a player. He’s a Super Bowl MVP for a reason. Obviously, he’s pumped life back into this team, the offense, playing phenomenal right when we need it. But that’s Nick. He’s no different. It’s not like he rose to the occasion. This is what he’s made for.”

On Monday, Foles told reporters that he is feeling fine and is ready to play against the Redskins this week.

I’m great. Feel great,” Foles said when asked how the X-rays turned out.

“It was a great hit. He got a good one on me,” Foles said. “Trainers got out there, I was able to get my breath back. My rib’s a little sore but all in all, I feel great.”

With Foles feeling fine, the Eagles should be confident about their chances of beating the Redskins this week, but they will need some help from the Chicago Bears to make the playoffs.

Seattle Seahawks Corner Upset About Bad Calls

The Seattle Seahawks suffered one of the most surprising losses over the weekend, losing to the San Francisco 49ers, a team they had defeated 10 consecutive times. The Seahawks were flagged by the referees 14 times for 148 yards, with the final flag costing them the game.

Cornerback Shaquill Griffin was called for a pass interference that set up the 49ers game-winning field goal, and he wasn’t very happy about the call after the game.

“The penalty that they called on me, it was a terrible call,” he said inside a silent Seahawks locker room, repeating a word he used a few times.

“I kinda knew they was going to try to call a penalty on someone the way they were calling penalties on offense, and I made sure as soon as I seen the pass in the air that I wasn’t going to touch him or grab him,” Griffin said. “I was just going to stick my hand out, knock it down and roll over. That’s exactly what I did. When I stood up and looked at the [official], he looked at me and threw it. So it’s something I can’t take back, and it sucks the way it ended, but it was a terrible call.”

Shaquill Griffin News

Seattle Seahawks Shaquill Griffin

Head coach Pete Carroll refused to comment on the play because he didn’t get a good look at it. However, he was unhappy about his team’s lack of discipline.

“I can’t tell you,” Carroll said of the Griffin play. “I don’t know, but it surely happened right at the crucial times. The hold happens on the big play. That’s the big play for us to get out of there, and it’s just unfortunate. Just the way it goes sometimes. It’s not because we’re not trying. Guys were busting their tails to get it done, but we just went too far, I guess.”

“I don’t think any of that was what happened,” he said. “I think we were sloppy with the penalty situation. All of the numbers matched up to how we play. The running numbers, the third-down numbers were the best we’ve had in quite a while. Defense kept the numbers down, played really well in the second half, gave up a couple field goals. So we did a lot of really good things like we normally do.”

Texans Vs Eagles NFL Week 16

If the Eagles can’t slow down Watson and Hopkins on Sunday, they will need a lot of help to make the playoffs this season.

The defending champions have struggled this season and find themselves in danger of failing to make the playoffs. With the team only half a game behind the Minnesota Vikings, who are in the final playoff spot in the NFC, the Eagles will need to win their last two games and hope the Vikings stumble at least once.

Carson Wentz suffered a back injury in their loss to the Cowboys in their previous game and the team had to turn back to Nick Foles, who led them to a win over the Los Angeles Rams. With the team hanging on by a thread, they will need another big game from Foles to make it back to the playoffs and defend their title.

They will also need a big game from their defense and find a way to slow down Hopkins, who has come up big for the Texans down the stretch.

The Houston Texans were favored to win the game by 1.5 points, but the line has moved and the odds are now even. The over/under on total points scored is 45. Enjoy these NFL Week 16 picks and predictions.

The Texans have played better than the Eagles this season but Philadelphia needs the win to keep its playoff hopes alive and should be able to get it in front of their crowd. Take the Eagles in this game.

Malcolm Jenkins Rips NFL Officials

The Philadelphia Eagles lost a close game to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, which dealt a big blow to their playoff hopes.

During the game, there were a lot of questionable calls made by the referees, most of which favored the Cowboys. One of the plays that stood out was a fumble by kick returner Jourdan Lewis, which was recovered by linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill, who emerged from the pile with the ball in his hands.

The officials initially ruled that Lewis was down, but the Eagles challenged the play and it was reversed upon review. However, the referees said Dallas retained possession of the ball, which didn’t make a lot of sense because Grugier-Gill ended up with the ball.

Instead of the Eagles getting the ball back in Cowboys territory, the officials gave the Cowboys the ball, and they scored a touchdown on the drive to take the early lead.

After the game, safety Malcolm Jenkins and his teammates were upset about the play and other mistakes by the officials, which they felt cost them a win. Malcolm Jenkins was obviously upset.

Philadelphia Eagles Miss Playoffs

Malcolm Jenkins Philadelphia Eagles

“That was a pretty terrible call,” Jenkins said. “They reviewed it and the explanation I got was that it wasn’t a clear recovery, although Kamu had the ball in his hand and there was only Eagles defenders on the ball in replay. So whoever’s watching that in New York should stay off the bottle.”

Grugier-Hill echoed Jenkins’ sentiment when he was asked about the play, adding that the only players in the scrum were all Eagles players.

“They just said that the video didn’t show me getting up actually with the ball, but it was clear I had the ball, so I don’t understand,” he said.

“It was all green jerseys. It was all green jerseys.”

Despite having to deal with a loss due to poor officiating, Jenkins will likely have to pay a fine after his comments about the officials.

The Rams finally met their match this past weekend, losing to the Chicago Bears after scoring a season-low six points. Jared Goff, who has looked like an MVP candidate for most of the season, was harassed by the Bears and finished the game with 180 yards and four interceptions.

After failing to give their best player enough touches in the loss, expect to see plenty of Todd Gurley on Sunday night as the Rams try to get the top seed in the NFC playoffs.

The Rams finally played well on defense but their offense let them down. If they play as well as they did against the Bears, they should be able to beat the Eagles and stay tied with the New Orleans Saints for the best record in the conference.

Pick and Prediction

The Rams are favored to win this game by nine points. The over/under on total points scored is 52.

The Rams will be trying to keep pace with the Saints and the Eagles are trying to stay in the playoff picture, so expect a game that will be closer than expected. Take the Eagles +9 and the over in this game.

Vikings at Seahawks Week 14 NFL

The Seattle Seahawks will be trying to stay alive in the NFC playoff race. This when they face the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. The game will be played at CenturyLink Stadium on Monday, December 10. It is scheduled to begin at 8:20 PM. ET. Stay tuned for Week 14 NFL betting odds. Vikings at Seahawks coming up.

Coming into the season, the Vikings were one of the biggest favorites to win the Super Bowl. After 13 weeks, they look like a team that will be lucky to make the postseason. Chances are not likely.

The Vikings brought in Kirk Cousins in the offseason. This is because they wanted stability at the quarterback position. So far, Cousins has put up impressive numbers. However, doesn’t have enough wins to show for it. Minnesota’s defense, which was supposed to be a strength this season, has been very inconsistent. The defense struggled against the New England Patriots in their last game.

With so many teams still alive in the NFC playoff race, a loss to the Seahawks is something the Vikings can’t afford right now. However, if they want to get the win they will need to play better than they have so far this season.

Week 14 NFL Betting

Vikings At Seahawks Week 14 NFL Betting

The Seahawks weren’t expected to be in playoff contention this season after losing most of their vaunted defense and a few offensive players. Despite the losses, the team has managed to stay in the playoff race and have a chance to improve their odds of making the postseason with a win over the Vikings on Monday night.

Offensively, Russell Wilson has been doing his best to keep the Seahawks alive. The team is averaging 25.1 points per game thanks to Wilson completing 66 percent of his passes for 2,531 yards, 25 touchdowns, and five interceptions.

The Seahawks have also played well on the defensive end, giving up 22.1 points per game. They will need to continue playing well on both sides to beat the Vikings.

The Seahawks are favored to win this game by three points. The over/under on total points scored is 45.

The Vikings are in desperation mode, but they will have a hard time getting a win in the loudest stadium in the NFL. Take the Seahawks -3.

Packers Fire Mike McCarthy After Loss To Cardinals

On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers lost a home game to the Arizona Cardinals, who are one of the worst teams in the league this season. The loss also knocked the Packers out of the playoff race, leaving a lot of people wondering if the Packers would make a coaching change after the season. It’s over Mike McCarthy.

However, the Packers opted not to waste any time and announced that they fired Super Bowl-winning head coach Mike McCarthy shortly after the game.

“The 2018 season has not lived up to the expectations and standards of the Green Bay Packers. As a result, I made the difficult decision to relieve Mike McCarthy of his role as head coach, effective immediately,” Packers president Mark Murphy said in a statement. “Mike has been a terrific head coach and leader of the Packers for 13 seasons, during which time we experienced a great deal of success on and off the field. We want to thank Mike, his wife, Jessica, and the rest of the McCarthy family for all that they have done for the Packers and the Green Bay and Wisconsin communities. We will immediately begin the process of selecting the next head coach of the Green Bay Packers.”

Green Bay Packers News

Mike McCarthy Green Bay Packers

Before the team announced his firing, McCarthy was asked about being basically eliminated from the playoffs with four games left to play.

“I mean, I’ve never been in this spot,” McCarthy said in his postgame news conference. “I’m not going to act like I know what the hell I’m going to do tomorrow when they get in here. So we’re going to do what we always do: We’re going to represent the Packers the right way, I know that. Other than that, we’ll focus on what’s in front of us.”

McCarthy was 125-77-2 in 13 seasons with the Packers and had a 10-8 in the playoffs. He led the team to a Super Bowl win in 2010 and lost three NFC Championship games.

Chargers at Steelers NFL Week 13 Picks

The Los Angeles Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers will be battling for a chance to finish with the tops seed in the AFC playoff race. This, when they face off this week. The game will be played on Sunday, December 2. It is scheduled to begin at 8:20 PM. ET. Next, Chargers at Steelers NFL Week 13 picks for betting.

The Chargers were able to bounce back from their surprising loss to the Denver Broncos in their previous win. This was with a big win over the Arizona Cardinals in their last game. They will now be trying to win their second game in a row. Also, eighth game in their last nine contests when they play the Steelers.

Also, Phillip Rivers has been sensational for the Chargers this season. He’s completing 69.5 percent of his passes for 3,119 yards, 26 touchdowns, and six interceptions. In his last game, he broke the record for consecutive completions to start a game and finished the game completing 28 of 29 passes for 259 yards and three touchdowns.

The Chargers might be without running back Melvin Gordon, who suffered a knee injury in the win over the Cardinals.

The Pittsburgh Steelers should be going for their eighth consecutive game on Sunday, but the team had their seven-game winning streak snapped by the Denver Broncos, who were dominated during the game but managed to pull off the win by taking advantage of several Pittsburgh miscues.

NFL Week 13 Picks for Betting

Chargers at Steelers NFL Week 13 Picks

The Steeler will now be hoping for the Kansas City Chiefs to lose at least two more games to give them a chance to take the AFC’s top playoff seed.

Pittsburgh’s defense will have its hands full with the Chargers, especially with how well Rivers is playing right now. They will have the advantage of not having to worry about Gordon on the defensive end, which should allow them to go after Rivers early and often hoping to cause a turnover.

If the Steelers play as they did over the past month and avoid the costly mistakes they made against the Broncos, they should be able to get the win.

The Steelers are favored to win this game by 3.5 points. The over/under on total points scored is 52.

In conclusion, the Steelers have played well at home and the Chargers will be shorthanded, so take Pittsburgh -3.5. You should also take the over in this game because there will be a lot of points scored.

Jon Gruden Downplays Sideline Argument With Derek Carr

When the Oakland Raiders signed head coach Jon Gruden to a 10-year $100 million deal last offseason, expectations were high in Oakland with fans believing Gruden can lead them back into the playoffs this season. Finally, Oakland Raiders news next!

Unfortunately, things haven’t gone as planned in Oakland with Gruden gutting the team. Also, hoping to rebuild with a plethora of draft picks after trading away former Defensive Player of the Year Khalil Mack and Pro Bowl receiver Amari Cooper.

Things took a turn for the worse this week. This is when cameras caught Gruden and quarterback Derek Carr having a war of words on the sidelines. Once the video hit the internet, it quickly went viral with fans joking about Carr being the next player to be shipped off somewhere.

Rather, after the game, Gruden downplayed the incident. Telling reporters he and Carr have had heated conversations in the past and will likely have more in the future.

“That’s the first time you’ve seen it,” Gruden said with an impish grin, “but it isn’t the first time it’s happened. We’re both competitors. We’re competing hard there. We had a man-to-man situation and he went for the big play.

Oakland Raiders In Shambles

Jon Gruden Oakland Raiders

“We had a mild disagreement. But you know what, that’s part of this business. We’re going to have times where we clash a little bit but we’re also very supportive of one another. I’m really proud of him. He’s been through a lot this year, and I’m glad he’s our quarterback.”

Carr also tried to downplay the argument, saying he was surprised they haven’t been caught arguing on camera before.

“We’re both very fiery — a lot of people don’t see that in me, all the time — we’re both competitive,” Carr said. “A minor disagreement on something and the beautiful thing is, when we do that, it’s not a demeaning thing or pointing a finger. We’re both yelling the same kind of thing, almost: ‘Let’s fix it!’

“Everything’s good, I promise.”

Since the trade deadline has already passed, we will have to wait until the season is over to see how the situation plays out.

NFL Thanksgiving Schedule Redskins at Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins will renew their rivalry for the first time this season with the NFC East division lead on the line. The game will be played at AT&T Stadium in Dallas on Thursday, November 22. It is scheduled to begin at 4:30 PM. ET. Are you ready for some ball and turkey?

Other games on the NFL Thanksgiving schedule include:

Chicago Bears (-3.5) at Detroit Lions (+3.5): 12:30 PM EST
Washington Redskins (+7) at Dallas Cowboys (-7): 4:30 PM EST
Atlanta Falcons (13.5) at New Orleans Saints (-13.5): 8:20 PM EST

  • Washington Redskins Odds:
  • The Redskins were one of the feel-good stories earlier in the season. This is because nobody expected them to lead the NFC East. Since their hot start, they have been hit with a slew of injuries. Also, things went from bad to worse in their last game. This, after they lost quarterback Alex Smith to a gruesome injury.

Rather, with Smith out for the season, the Redskins will turn to Colt McCoy. Washington will try to fight for a playoff spot. On Monday, the team signed Mark Sanchez to back up McCoy. However, fans that have seen Sanchez in action are hoping McCoy stays healthy.

The Redskins also have a banged-up offensive line, which has hurt their pass protection and running game. They have still played well defensively and they will be counting on their defense to help them beat the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.

  • Dallas Cowboys Odds:
  • The Cowboys are brimming with confidence at the moment after beating the Philadelphia Eagles a week ago and the Atlanta Falcons in their last game.

    NFL Week 12 Betting

NFL Thanksgiving Schedule Redkins at Cowboys

With the fans calling for his head, head coach Jason Garrett has gone back to what has worked well for the team in the past, running the ball. Ezekiel Elliott has been a beast over the last two weeks, rushing for 151 yards against the Eagles and 122 yards with 79 receiving yards against the Falcons.

Expect to see Elliott get a lot of touches against the struggling Redskins as the team tries to take the division lead. With Elliott playing well, Dak Prescott isn’t under pressure to make big plays anymore and can settle for the safe throws he makes well.

The Cowboys do have some significant injuries on defense with Sean Lee, Taco Charlton and David Irving missing their last game.

The Cowboys are favored to win this game by 7.5 points. The over/under on total points scored is 41.

The Cowboys are playing well, but they have a tendency to choke in games they are expected to win. Colt McCoy has also had some success against Dallas in the past, so take the Redskins +7.5.

New Orleans Saints Sign Brandon Marshall

NFL Week 11 is here! Dez Bryan is out. Brandon Marshall is in. The New Orleans Saints have been trying to add some depth to their wide receiver position. This is as they push for the top seed in the NFC playoff race. On Monday, the team announced they have reached an agreement with six-time Pro Bowler Brandon Marshall. Marshall was released by the Seattle Seahawks earlier this season.

Brandon had worked out for the Saints last week. However, the team decided to sign former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, who had been unsigned since he was released by the Cowboys during the offseason.

Bryant never got to play a down for the Saints as he suffered a torn Achilles during practice and won’t be able to play again for some time.

The Saints will be the 34-year-old Marshall’s fourth team in two years and the seventh team he has played for in his 13-year career. In seven games with the Seahawks, Marshall caught 11 passes for 136 yards and one touchdown. Last year, he had 18 catches for 154 yards in five games with the New York Giants.

    Saints Betting Odds

    New Orleans Saints Brandon Marshall

The Saints aren’t expecting Marshall to have a big impact on their offense, but having him gives them a receiver they can play in the slot and a big target for Drew Brees in the red zone, which was the role they were expecting Bryant to play before he suffered his injury.

New Orleans hasn’t had a lot of luck with receivers this season with Ted Ginn Jr. Cameron Meredith, and Bryant being put on the injured reserve list over the past month. They are hoping their luck will change with Marshall and they will be able to get some production out of him.

Despite their lack of depth at the receiver position, their offense just keeps humming along. The Saints scored 51 points on the road against the Bengals, a week after scoring 45 points against the Los Angeles Rams.

Vikings At Bears NFL Week 11

The NFC North lead will be on the line when the Minnesota Vikings take on the Chicago Bears in this week’s edition of Sunday Night Football. The game will be played at Soldier Field on Sunday, November 18. It is scheduled to begin at 8:20 PM. ET. Vikings at Bears NFL Week 11 next!

    Minnesota Vikings Analysis:

The Vikings came into the season expected to dominate the division. This is because they signed Kirk Cousins to lead a team loaded with talent on both sides. However, they struggled at the beginning of the season. Vikings won only one of their first four games. This did not make the fans happy.

Since then, the Vikings have won four of their last five games and will be trying to take the division lead when they face the Bears.

The Vikings struggled defensively at the start of the season. However, they have played better lately. They are holding opponents to 22.7 points per game. This is 11th in the league. Their offense also struggled early on. This was because their running game was inconsistent. However, they have also picked things up and are looking like a team that will be a factor once the playoffs start.

    Chicago Bears Analysis:

Not too many people expected the Bears to lead the NFC North this late in the season, but they have worked their way to the top thanks to one of the best defenses in the league.

Vikings At Bears NFL Week 11

    NFL Week 11

The Bears are giving up 19.4 points per game, which is fourth in the league. Their defense is led by former Defensive Player of the Year Khalil Mack. Mack was traded to Chicago before the start of the season. Mack has made an immediate impact on the defense and will be counted on to lead them to a win over the Vikings.

Chicago’s offense has also played well this season thanks to second-year quarterback Mitch Trubisky, who has improved drastically since his rookie season. The team will need Trubisky and the offense to put up some early points so their defense has some room to work with as they go after Cousins and the Vikings.

The Bears are favored to win this game by three points. The over/under on total points scored is 45.5.

This is going to be a close contest. This will come down to which team takes better care of the ball. With the Bears having only one win against a team with a winning record, take the Vikings +3 in this game. Which team do you pick?

    Seahawks at Rams Picks

The Los Angeles Rams will be trying to bounce back from their first loss of the season in Week 10. The Rams face the Seattle Seahawks in an NFC West clash this week. The game will be played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Sunday, November 11. It is scheduled to start at 4:25 PM. ET. Today we preview NFL Week 10 predictions.

The Seahawks are also going to be trying to rebound from their loss to the Los Angeles Chargers when they face the Rams. The team is currently 4-4 and likely won’t be able to challenge the Rams for the division title but they are still in the hunt for a Wildcard spot.

Despite losing some of their best defensive players, the Seahawks are still one of the best defensive teams in the league, giving up 19.5 points per game.

Their offense, led by Russell Wilson, is averaging 23.5 points per game, which is 17th in the league.

The last time the Seahawks faced the Rams, they almost pulled off the win but lost the game 33-31. They will go into this game with a lot of confidence because they almost defeated them the last time and the Rams are coming off their first loss of the year.

If the Seahawks can throw the ball effectively, and play better defense than they did in the first meeting, the Seahawks will have a chance to win this game.

    NFL Week 10 Predictions

Seahawks Rams NFL Week 10 Predictions

The Rams looked like the best team in the league for the first eight games, but their loss to the New Orleans Saints created some doubt, and they will try to re-establish themselves as the team to beat with a win over the Seahawks.

With the Kansas City Chiefs coming into town the next week, the Rams can’t afford to lose another game if they don’t want to fall behind the Saints in the NFC standings.

Todd Gurley continues to make his case for the league MVP, rushing for 868 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also has 362 receiving yards and four touchdowns for the Rams this season.

Gurley didn’t get as many touches against the Saints because the team fell behind early in the game. The Seahawks kept him in check in their last game, holding him to 77 rushing yards. Expect a big game from him this time around.

Los Angeles also needs to do a better job on the defensive end after allowing 72 points in their last two games. If they can keep the Seahawks from throwing the ball effectively, they will get the win.

The Rams are favored to win this game by 10 points. The over/under on total points scored is 51.5. The Rams will be trying to make a statement after their loss to the Saints so take them at -10. Since the teams combined for 64 points the last time they played, expect another high scoring game.

    Saints Bengals Week 10 Betting

Ready for some Saints Bengals Week 10 betting? The New Orleans Saints will be going for their eighth consecutive win. The Saints take on the Cincinnati Bengals, who are trying to catch up to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North. Also, the game will be played at Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday, November 11. It is scheduled to begin at 1 PM. ET. Stay tuned for complete NFL Week 10 picks.

The Saints won the NFC South last season. However, they weren’t expected to be as good this year because the teams in their division got better. After losing their first game of the season, the Saints have reeled off seven consecutive wins and now have the best record in the NFC. Does this surprise you?

Drew Brees continues to make the case for his first regular season MVP award. Brees leads the second-best offense in the league. He looked great in the team’s last game, helping the Saints hand the Los Angeles Rams their first loss of the season. The team’s running game has also picked up since a slow start to the season.

Brees has completed 76.3 percent of his passes for 2,336 yards, 18 touchdowns, and one interception, while Alvin Kamara has 490 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. Kamara also has 427 receiving yards and three touchdowns for the Saints.

Defense has been the biggest issue for New Orleans. If they can shut down Andy Dalton, they should be able to get the win.

The Bengals are coming off a bye week and would love to get a win over the Saints so they can reduce their deficit in the AFC North. However, it is easier said than done against an offense that has been nearly unstoppable this year.

    NFL Week 10 Picks

Saints Bengals Week 10 Betting Picks

The Bengals offense will have to make up for the absence of wide receiver A.J. Green, who is expected to miss this game after suffering a toe injury against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their last game. Without his favorite target, Andy Dalton might struggle in this game.

Dalton has completed 63.4 percent of his passes for 2,102 yards, 17 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Joe Mixon, who is coming off his best game of the season, has 509 rushing yards and four touchdowns so far.

With the Saints coming into town, their defense, which gave up 576 yards to the Buccaneers in their last game, can’t afford to make the same mistake against the Saints, who will make them pay for it.

The Saints are favored to win this game by 4.5 points. The over/under on total points scored is 54.5 points.

With Green missing the game and the Bengals defense struggling, the Saints -4.5 is the best bet. You should also take the over in this game because New Orleans will also give up some points.

In conclusion, use these NFL week 10 picks for your NFL predictions.

Rams Vs Saints Week 9 NFL

The Los Angeles Rams will be trying to stay undefeated in Week 9. They take on the New Orleans Saints in the biggest game of the week. The game will be played at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Sunday, November 4. Also, it is scheduled to start at 4:25 PM. Rams Vs Saints Week 9 NFL predictions coming up!

The Los Angeles Rams have taken on all comers this season. Also, they remain the only undefeated team in the league. Their undefeated record will be in jeopardy this week against a Saints team that has been very impressive this season.

The Rams are coming off an impressive win over the Green Bay Packers and still have games against the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs on their schedule, making this their toughest stretch of the season.

Against the Saints, expect to see a lot of pressure on the quarterback as they try to force Brees to makes mistakes, which is something he hasn’t done a lot of this season. New Orleans’ running game has also looked better in recent weeks, making the team harder to stop.

Offensively, expect to see a lot of Todd Gurley as the Rams try to keep the Saints’ defense off balance. If they run the ball effectively, Jared Goff will have plenty of time to find open receivers.

    Week 9 NFL Predictions

Rams Vs Saints Week 9 NFL Predictions

The Saints bounced back from their season-opening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by winning their last six games and are tied for the second-best record in the league.
With this being a potential NFC Championship Game preview, home field advantage is at stake and a win by the Saints will give them the tiebreaker if they finish with the same record.

Drew Brees has been great this season and continues his assault on the record books. Fortunately for the Saints and their fans, Brees doesn’t have to do everything himself this season because they have a more complete team than they have had in the past.

Alvin Kamara will present matchup problems for the Rams who have been inconsistent defensively this season and struggled against the run in their game against the Packers.

If the Saints run the ball well, they should be able to get the win over the Rams on Sunday.

    Pick and Predictions

The Saints are favored to win this game by 1 point. The over/under on total points scored is 60.

The Saints have been playing very well, but most of those wins have come against bad teams. They will struggle against the run and will lose a close game to the Rams.

In conclusion, for Rams Vs Saints take Los Angeles +1.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Hoping Fitzpatrick Has Some Magic Left

On Monday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will start this week’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Also, this didn’t come as a surprise. This is so because of how well he played in limited action in their loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. After taking over for Jameis Winston. Winston was benched after throwing his fourth interception of the game.

Since Winston took over the starting job from Fitzpatrick after serving a three-game suspension at the start of the season, the Buccaneers have gone 1-2. Buccaneers fans saw this coming.

In his three starts, Winston completed 64.9 percent of his passes for 1,181 yards, six touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He also has four fumbles so far.

Fitzpatrick, who is 2-2 as the starter, has completed 68.1 percent of his passes for 1,550 yards, 13 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also has two lost fumbles this season.

    Ryan Fitzpatrick Stats

    Tampa Bay Buccaneers Ryan Fitzpatrick

After Winston’s fourth interception was returned for a touchdown, the Buccaneers were down 34-16 late in the third quarter. Fitzpatrick came in and led a rally that helped the team tie the game. Unfortunately, their defense allowed the Bengals to move into their territory and kick the game-winning field goal.

Fitzpatrick finished the game completing 11 of 15 passes for 194 yards and two touchdowns. If he plays well against the Panthers, it will solidify his position as the starter for the rest of the season and give the Buccaneers a tough choice to make in the offseason.

Winston has been turnover prone his whole career, something the Buccaneers were hoping would change since they drafted him.

Since he was drafted in 2015, Winston has thrown multiple interceptions 16 times, breaking a tie with Jacksonville’s Blake Bortles. If you throw in his off-field incidents and the fact that he has been outplayed by a 35-year-old journeyman quarterback, the team will have to decide if they will stick with him for one more season or cut bait and look for their franchise quarterback in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Eric Reid Calls Malcolm Jenkins “Sellout”

Reid and Jenkins exchange words again. Before their game against the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday. Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid confronted Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins and had to be restrained by his teammates. This was before things got physical.

After the game, Reid answered questions about the altercation and called Jenkins a “sellout.”

Reid told reporters that Jenkins “capitalized on the situation.” Reid, the first player to join former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in kneeling when both played for the 49ers. “He co-opted with the movement that was started by Colin to get his organization started. It was cowardly. He sold us out.”

Reid was referring to last season when Jenkins. Who co-founded the Players Coalition, stopped kneeling during the national anthem after the NFL announced it would donate $100 million to causes considered important to the coalition.

Several players, including Reid, withdrew from the coalition in November 2017. Among Reid’s concerns was where the funds for the initiative came from. What does this mean for the coalition?

    NFL Player News

    Eric Reid Malcolm Jenkins

“In the discussion that we had, Malcolm conveyed to us. Based on discussions that he had with the NFL. That the money would come from funds that are already allocated to breast cancer awareness and Salute to Service,” Reid said at the time. “So it would really be no skin off the owners’ backs: They would just move the money from those programs to this one.”

Despite the comments made by Reid, Jenkins refused to get into a war of words with him. This was a classy move.

“I would never get up here and say anything bad about somebody who I know whose intentions were real about helping the community. Especially another black man,” he said. “So I’m going to leave it at that.

In conclusion, “I respect him, I’m glad he has a job, I’m glad he’s back in the league, and I’ll leave it like that.”

Packers at Rams NFL Week 8

The Los Angeles Rams will be going for their eighth consecutive win in week 8. They take on the Green Bay Packers. The Packers are trying to win their third game in their last four contest. The game will be played at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Sunday, October 28. Also, it is scheduled to begin at 4:25 PM. Packers at Rams NFL week 8 betting odds next.

The Packers are coming off their bye week. They will be hoping the week off helps the team get healthy as they go up against one of the best teams in the league this year.

Aaron Rodgers continues to play at a high level. This is despite a knee injury that has bothered him since their season-opening win over the Chicago Bears. However, the team hasn’t put enough talent around their quarterback, which is why they have struggled this season.

Despite their record, the Packers are only one game behind the Minnesota Vikings and they still have a good chance of winning their division.

With a trip to New England to take on Tom Brady and the Patriots coming up after this game, the Packers can’t afford to lose to the Rams on Sunday.

Green Bay’s defense, which is giving up 24 points per game, will need to step up to help the team get the win against a Rams team that is averaging 33.6 points per game. If they can Keep Los Angeles’ offense in check, they will have a good chance to win this game.

    NFL Week 8 Betting Odds

Packers At Rams NFL Week 8

The Rams have lived up to the hype after their busy offseason, and remain the only undefeated team in the league.

They have dominated on both sides of the ball, and their defense turned in its most dominant performance against the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday, registering seven sacks and forcing four turnovers.

The Rams are coming off a three-game road trip and will get to play one game at home before hitting the road to take on the New Orleans Saints next week. Expect to see the team put on a show for their fans against an overmatched Packers team.

With the Packers struggling to run the ball, the Rams will come after Rodgers like they did to the 49ers and try to force him into making mistakes. The Packers struggle on the road and will likely struggle again facing the best team they have played all year.

The Rams are favored to win this game by 8.5 points. The over/under on total points scored is 56.5.

The week off gave the Packers some extra time to prepare for the Rams. Unfortunately, they don’t have enough talent to compete with the Rams and will take another road loss on Sunday. Take the Rams -8.5.

Enjoy these NFL Week 8 picks wisely.

    NFL Week 7 Betting Picks

Welcome to NFL Week 7 betting picks! The Houston Texans will be trying to take sole possession of the AFC South lead. This is when they play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon. The game will be played at TIAA Bank Field. Also, it is scheduled to begin at 1 PM. ET. Texans Vs Jaguars NFL week 7 betting picks below.

The Texans have won three consecutive games. Houston will try to make it four in a row when they face the Jaguars. The Jags have won the last two meetings between the two teams.

Deshaun Watson has played well for the Texans. Also, is one of the biggest reasons they have won three games, but he has also taken a lot of hits behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league, and he has also turned the ball over 14 times.

The Texans will need their line to give Watson some extra time to get rid of the ball, but they will also need their quarterback to take better care of the ball, especially against an opportunistic defense like Jacksonville’s.

Houston’s running game hasn’t been as good as expected, but help is on the way with D’Onta Foreman coming off the PUP list this week after suffering a season-ending Achilles injury last season. Even though it will take Foreman some time to work himself back into shape, having extra depth at the position is great for the Texans.

    Texans Vs Jaguars Wagering Odds

NFL Week 7 Betting Picks Texans Jaguars

If their defense can keep Blake Bortles in check on Sunday, they should be able to get the win.

The Jaguars have lost two consecutive games and their defense, which was supposed to be one of the best in the league this year, gave up 70 points in their two losses. They will try to get back on track against the Texans, but they will need to play better on both sides of the ball to get the win.

Jacksonville’s offense has struggled over their last two games. They ended up scoring 21 points. With Leonard Fournette still dealing with an injury, T.J. Yeldon and the rest of their running back corps have to play better than they have in his absence.

Blake Bortles, who looked good early in the season, also has to play better than he has in the last two weeks and do a better job protecting the ball after throwing five interceptions in their last two games.

If the offense can get more than 21 points in this game, their defense should be able to slow down Houston’s offense and get some turnovers to help them get the win.

The Jaguars are favored to win this game by 4.5 points. The over/under on total points scored is 42.5.

Also, the Jaguars will play better than they have in the past two weeks because they will be playing in front of their home crowd, but if Fournette doesn’t play, they will have a hard time moving the ball against the Texans. Take Houston +4.5.

In conclusion, in Texans vs Jaguars we like Houston.

Emmanuel Sanders Calls League “Soft” After Loss To LA Rams

Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders wasn’t a happy camper after the Broncos lost to the Los Angeles Rams. Sanders feels like the referees cost his team a chance to win the game. This, thanks to a taunting call in the first quarter of their game. Does Emmanuel Sanders have a point?

According to Sanders, a first-quarter taunting call against him “cost my team,”. Then added it was also a sign the “league is getting soft.”

The penalty occurred late in the first quarter with the Rams holding a 6-0 lead. Case Keenum hit Sanders with what he thought was a 44-yard touchdown, and after Sanders got up from a tackle, he pointed a finger in Rams cornerback Troy Hill’s face, which drew the taunting flag.

Rather then, since the play occurred in the end zone, it was reviewed to confirm that it was a touchdown, and the replay officials said he was down at the one-yard line.

Instead of the taunting penalty being assessed on the kickoff like it would if it was a touchdown. It was assessed at the one-yard line. This pushed the Broncos back to the Rams’ 16-yard line. They would eventually settle for a field goal after gaining only six yards on three downs.

“It was a great throw by Case. I came down with a big play, emotions are high. … It’s not like I walked up to him and head-butted him or something crazy. But it cost my team.”

Also, with the Broncos losing the game 23-20, the penalty and the four points the Broncos lost ended up being a bigger deal than they thought.

“There’re no moral victories. … Our guys played hard, that’s apparent, but we have to play a better brand of football as far as penalties,” Broncos coach Vance Joseph said. “… He knows better, yes he knows better, I didn’t see what happened. … that’s why he can’t do that. He knows that.”

In conclusion, the LA Rams don’t seem hurt by Emmanuel Sanders comments.

    Mike Tomlin “Pissed” About Penalties

Looking for the latest Pittsburgh Steelers news? Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was expected to be happy about his team’s impressive win over the Atlanta Falcons, but the coach wasn’t in the mood to celebrate after the game, due to what he felt were questionable penalties called against his team.

When asked about the two facemask penalties called on linebacker Bud Dupree, Tomlin said the calls looked legitimate but pointed out that a lot of the other penalties called during the game were questionable.

“But some of the other stuff, man, is a joke,” Tomlin said. “We gotta get better as a National Football League. Man, these penalties are costing people games and jobs. We gotta get ’em correct. And so I’m pissed about it, to be quite honest with you. But that’s all I’m gonna say on it.”

One of the questionable calls Tomlin was referring to was a roughing the passer penalty against linebacker T.J. Watt, who had three sacks in the game. Watt was flagged after a low hit on Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, but replay showed he tried to move off the quarterback as he approached him.

After the game, Watt told reporters he was surprised by the call.

“I understand the rules. I’m not a dirty player,” Watt said. “I tried to pull off him at the end. Whether the ref saw it or not, I understand why they call it. It was a low hit. But I tried to pull my arms off. We’ll see if I get a check in the mail or not. … It puts us in a bind because I don’t know what else I can do. I couldn’t have rolled off, then I risk hitting someone in the knees or hurting myself.”

Despite the penalty, Watt said he doesn’t plan on changing the way he plays the game, adding that he just has to play smarter.

“You just have to be smart and understand the rules,” Watt said. “I’m not a guy who’s going to make any real change from what I say. So I have to understand the rules and play by them.”

Do you agree with Mike Tomlin?

    Chiefs Patriots Week 6

Looking for Chiefs Patriots Week 6 odds? The biggest game of week 6 of the NFL season is the Sunday Night Football matchup. Between the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs and the New England Patriots. The game will be played at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, October 14. Also, it is scheduled to begin at 8:20 PM. ET.

    Kansas City Chiefs Analysis:

The Chiefs are off to another fast start to their season. However, things feel different this season thanks to the performance of second-year quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes has been sensational so far.

Mahomes has completed 63 percent of his passes. These were for 1,513 yards, 14 touchdowns, and two interceptions. The picks came in their last game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Chiefs have also run the ball consistently. Averaging 115.6 rushing yards per game, which is 12th in the league.

With the offense averaging a league-leading 35 points per game, the Patriots will need to be great to slow the Chiefs offense down. Do you agree?

Kareem Hunt picked up where he left off last season and leads the team with 376 rushing yards and four touchdowns, which is fourth in the league. In his first NFL game, Hunt terrorized the Patriots defense.

After fumbling on his first carry of the game, Hunt bounced back and finished with 148 rushing yards and one touchdown, and also had 98 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The Chiefs might be real.

With the Patriots struggling against the run, expect to see plenty of Hunt on Sunday night.

    Chiefs Patriots Week 6

    New England Patriots Analysis:

Due to his unprecedented success as a head coach, Bill Belichick is hardly second-guessed, but after the team’s 3-2 start, he deserves some blame for some of his offseason moves.

The Patriots traded wide receiver Brandin Cooks, whom they acquired last offseason and led all receivers in yards and touchdowns, to the Los Angeles Rams. They lost Danny Amendola to the Miami Dolphins and started the season without any real depth at the receiver position, which is one of the reasons Tom Brady struggled at the start of the year.

In his first game back after serving a four-game suspension, Julian Edelman gave Brady a reliable target and not surprisingly, the quarterback had his biggest passing game of the year, completing 77 percent of his passes for 341 yards.

With the Chiefs and their high-scoring offense coming into town, Brady will have to keep up with Kansas City’s offense because New England’s defense hasn’t been very good this season. If they are unable to score consistently, they will have a hard time winning this game.

The Patriots are favored to win this game by 3.5 points. The over/under on total points scored is 59.

The Patriots don’t have the firepower to keep up with the Chiefs, who are trying to prove they are legitimate. Their defense might slow Kansas City down a little, but it won’t be enough to prevent the Chiefs from winning this game. Take the Chiefs +3.5 and the over in this one.

Seahawks Lose Earl Thomas For Season

Bad news for Thomas and the Hawks. Seattle Seahawks safety, Earl Thomas, who held out during training camp in hopes of getting a better deal or getting traded, saw his season and most likely his career with the Seahawks come to an end. This, after suffering an injury. The injury forced him out of the team’s road win over the Arizona Cardinals.

After the game, head coach Pete Carroll said Thomas suffered a lower leg fracture. Coach added that the injury will force Thomas to miss the remainder of the season.

Carroll was also asked what he thought of Thomas’ decision to flip the Seahawks sideline the bird as he was getting carted off the field.

“I don’t know anything about that,” Carroll said when asked about the gesture. “It’s a big stadium. I don’t know where it was aimed at. Earl was extraordinarily poised on the field. For what just occurred to be so clear and so resolved to — he knew what happened. But he was so poised and giving back to the players and all of us. So I don’t know what happened after that.” Was Earl Thomas wrong?

Thomas wasn’t available to speak with the media after the game, but his teammates hope he will be able to return to his dominant form when his leg heals.

After the game, Bradley McDougald said seeing Thomas carted off the field was “very difficult” and a “very emotional moment.”

“We personally know the time these players put into it,” he said, referring to Thomas and Dissly, “and to see their seasons get ended short like that, it’s just heartbreak because I know how bad they wanted it. So I think it’s our job to go out there and finish the job that they started.”

With Earl Thomas eligible to become a free agent after this season, Sunday’s game was likely his final game in a Seahawks uniform.

    Vikings Eagles Week 5

The Minnesota Vikings will be trying to snap a two-game losing streak. When they face the Philadelphia Eagles in what had been one of the most anticipated matchups of the season. The game will be played on Sunday, October 7 at Lincoln Financial Field. It is scheduled to start at 4:25 PM. ET. Enjoy betting on the Eagles in Week 5.

The Vikings were expected to contend for the Super Bowl this season. This is after signing Kirk Cousins in the offseason. However, things haven’t gone as planned for the Vikings. Minnesota hasn’t won a game since their season-opener against the San Francisco 49ers.

Minnesota’s defense, which was the team’s strength last season. They have not played as well as they did at this point last year, giving up 58 points in their last two games. For his part, Cousins has put up the big numbers that were expected of him, but his supporting cast hasn’t gotten there yet.

Cousins has completed 69 percent of his passes for 1,387 yards, 10 touchdowns, and two interceptions. Unfortunately, the team’s running game hasn’t been as effective, forcing Cousins to throw more than he would like. You can bet on the Eagles at these top US betting sites for NFL.

Dalvin Cook, who leads the Vikings in rushing, has 98 rushing yards on 36 carries. He also has nine catches for 107 yards, but he hasn’t scored a touchdown yet. The team will need to get their ground game going if they want to beat the Eagles.

Like the Vikings, the Eagles have underachieved this season. The defending Super Bowl champions already have two losses after four games thanks to their 26-23 overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans.

    Betting on the Eagles

Betting on the Eagles Week 5

The good news for the Eagles is that their offense has looked better since Carson Wentz returned to the lineup last week. Despite missing the first two games of the week, Wentz leads the team with 603 passing yards.

Alshon Jeffery’s return to the lineup on Sunday also provided the offense with a spark, and he finished the game with 105 yards and one touchdown on eight catches. The Eagles also ran the ball well, and Jay Ajayi, who is dealing with a back injury, led the way with 70 yards on 15 carries.

With the Vikings coming into town, Philadelphia’s defense will need to play better against the pass than they have done in the last three weeks and apply pressure on Cousins, forcing him into making mistakes.

The Eagles are favored to win this game by three points. The over/under on total points scored is 44.5.

The Vikings have shown that they can score, but their defense has been inconsistent this season, while Philadelphia’s offense continues to get better, making the Eagles the smart bet here. Take Philadelphia -3.

In conclusion, betting on the Eagles in NFL Week 5 is a sure bet.
