NFL Week 7 – Saints vs. Chiefs

The New Orleans Saints will travel to Kansas City to play the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on October 23rd 2016. Drew Brees and the Saints have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. The Chiefs were a playoff team last year, although their defense doesn’t seem to be as good as it was last year.

This showdown between the Saints and Chiefs is set to have a 1PM Sunday kickoff time. Early lines being published for this game have the Chiefs as a 7 point favorite. That number seems to be falling as some online sports books have lowered the point spread down to -6 ½.

From a sports betting angle, the Saints over/under total have been over in 4 of their past 5 games. In the Chiefs first 5 games, the points totals have been under in 3 of 5. New Orleans does not seem to play well on the road, therefore the crowd noise and grassy field may slow down their attack. New Orleans defense is suspect; therefore the offense will need to get a fast start to have a chance to win this game.

The Chiefs are favorites in this game and as long as quarterback Alex Smith has a decent game with minimal turnovers, the Chiefs should have the advantage against the Saints in the NFL’s Week 7 regular season.
