Upcoming NFL Betting Predictions

The NFL season is upon us. Today, we will be covering 2023-24 NFL betting predictions along with which states haven’t legalized online sports betting?

Legal online sportsbooks have been springing up on the internet since the Supreme Court struck down the federal ban on sports betting. But, even though sports betting has been decriminalized, some states still haven’t passed laws to legalize it.
Here are the states that haven’t legalized gambling and don’t allow you to use legal online sportsbooks:

Alabama: There have been several bills proposed in the state legislature to legalize gambling, with the most recent coming in 2021, but they have been shot down so far. The state also doesn’t have any commercial casinos. Can you bet on NFL matches here, maybe.

Alaska: The state came close to legalizing sports gambling in 2020, with Gov. Mike Dunleavy showing support for the bill. But, the COVID-19 pandemic put an end to it and the bill expired in May 2020.

California: One would think that one of the largest states in the country would be one of the first to legalize sports gambling, but the two major propositions on the ballot in 2022 that would have legalized sports betting in the state were voted down by Californians.

2023-24 NFL Betting Predictions

Florida: Sports betting was actually legalized in Florida in 2021, but a judge ruled that an agreement between the state of Florida and the Seminole Tribe was illegal. In June 2023, a D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously overturned the decision that had blocked regulated Florida sports betting.

Even though there is a chance that the ruling will be appealed, the state is making preparations for sports betting to return in the fall of 2023.

Georgia:
Georgia lawmakers filed bills that would have made sports betting legal without Georgia residents having to vote on it in January 2023. But, in March, the state senate voted them down.

Hawaii: Legislators in the Rainbow State tried to legalize sports betting in 2019, but the bill didn’t pass.

Idaho: This state has not attempted to legalize sports betting.

NFL Betting Predictions

Maine: The state has not officially legalized sports betting, but legislation to legalize it passed in 2022. A launch date has not been announced.

Minnesota: Like Maine, the state has not legalized sports betting, but a legislation to legalize it passed in August 2022. The launch date hasn’t been announced.

Missouri: There have been several attempts to legalize sports betting, but the state has not taken action on them.

North Dakota: White tribal casinos are legal in the state, the legalization of sports betting has been unsuccessful so far.

South Carolina: Casino riverboats are legal in the state, but attempts to legalize sports betting have been unsuccessful so far.

Texas: Attempts to legalize sports betting in the state has been unsuccessful so far, but a senator filed a sports betting bill ahead of the 2023 legislative session that would legalize sports betting in the state.

Utah: There have been no attempts to legalize sports betting in the state.
