Buffalo Bills NFL Season Preview

The Buffalo Bills ended their 17-year playoff drought last season, and were expected to have a better run next season after losing to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Wildcard game. However, thigs might not go as planned as the team made several head scratching changes. In today’s Bills season preview we look at their NFL online betting odds to win Super Bowl 2019.

Buffalo’s odds to win the Super Bowl this season is +10000.

After a 7-9 finish to the 2016 season, the team started to sour on starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor, and rumors coming out of the front office indicated they wanted to trade their quarterback. Despite the rumors, the Bills brought Taylor back for another season, but drafted Nathan Peterman, hoping he would be their quarterback of the future.

During the season, the team benched Taylor in favor of Peterman, who threw five interceptions in the first half of his first career start. Taylor was given back the starting job and helped Buffalo end their playoff drought.

During the offseason, the Bills shipped Taylor off to Cleveland and signed former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback AJ McCarron, who was expected to get the starting job. However, the Bills used the seventh overall pick in the draft to select Wyoming’s Josh Allen, who will compete with McCarron for the starting job.

The Bills also lost Pro Bowl offensive lineman Richie Incognito, who decided to retire then unretired, leading the team to release him.
With LeSean McCoy and Kelvin Benjamin still on the roster, the Bills have some offensive weapons, but with their quarterbacks having four career starts between them, their offense will struggle this season.

Defensively, the Bills made a few improvements, drafting linebacker Tremaine Edwards with the 16th overall pick, and defensive tackle Harrison Phillips with the 32nd pick.

With the Patriots expected to continue dominating the division and the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets expected to be improved, the Bills are likely going to struggle this season and likely to miss out on the playoffs.
