Keenum, who had bounced around the league until he found the right fit in Minnesota. Was expendable because the Vikings signed free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins during the offseason. With Keenum going into the season as the undisputed starter for the Broncos, they are hoping their confidence in him is rewarded with a playoff run.

The Broncos have some offensive weapons that should make life easy for Keenum. Playmakers like Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas are expected to bounce back from their disappointing 2017 campaign, now that they have a veteran at the quarterback position.
Denver’s running game is still a question mark. However, it is expected to improve this season if they have a consistent passing attack. Opponents have been able to stop the run over the past two seasons because they knew the Broncos couldn’t beat them through the air.
Defensively, the Broncos still have the core of players. These helped them win the Super Bowl three seasons ago. They were dominant in stretches last season, but tired out quickly because they spent too much time on the field.
